Public Works

Centerville Road-North
As most are aware the Township will be doing a widening project on Centerville Road-North (between Bunny and Gloucester).  We had hoped to begin the project in the spring of this year however due to other roadway projects already scheduled in this area the Township has decided to postpone the work until Spring/2018.  This delay will hopefully lessen traffic issues in an already congested area.

What will occur in 2017 is utility work.  UGI has already placed signage for line work on Centerville and a small portion of Spring Valley Road.  This work is starting the week of 3/27 (weather permitting) and should last 3-4 weeks.  UGI anticipates one lane traffic during working hours.  PP&L is also working on scheduling moving several poles in anticipation of the widening next year.

The purpose of the Public Works Department is to promote and oversee the construction and maintenance of the township's infrastructure.

The Township's Public Works Department consists of eleven full time employees. They are responsible for maintaining (paving/patching, snow removal and leaf collection) approximately 100 miles of Township roadways, and maintanance of the Township's parks and properties.
