East Hempfield Township Open Records Policy
Municipal government is provided by a five member Board of
Supervisors who are elected by the voters of the Township for
six year terms. The Board of Supervisors serves as the Township’s
legislative body, setting policy, enacting local ordinances,
adopting budgets, and levying taxes. Under their direction the
Township also maintains a professional staff to carry out Township
business and maintain Township roads and parks. Several Boards
and Commissions are appointed by the Supervisors to assist in
the delivery of municipal services. Township government is what
you make of it. Personal knowledge of the officials who administer
your Township government and of the problems they face, will
make them more effective and responsive to you. Your interest
and participation is always welcomed.
